Botox relaxes facial muscles, the strength of your muscle determines the units of Botox you will need. An individual with a stronger muscle, will need a higher dose or several sessions.
Glabellar Frown Lines
~20-25 units
Men may need a higher dose of 35-40 units.
Crows Feet
6-12 units per side
Forehead Lines
8-16 units dependant on the strength of the muscle

Safety:
Botox has a broad margin of safety, a very high dose is required to make it lethal, in humans that is 40 units/kg of bodyweight. Meaning, for an individual weighing 60 kg, that would be about 2,400 units. We do not even have that much in stock!
Cosmetically, it is relatively safe and effective for its use. It also does not cause long term effects.
Side Effects:
Some possible side effects include bleeding, swelling, bruising at and around the the injection sites.
Also, there may be some discomfort from the needle. Our Botox clinic South Gate, CA do use very small needles and apply a numbing cream and ice; but there is still a needle penetrating the skin.
